More than one in four persons in Vigo County lives below the poverty line. Think of all your friends and neighbors. If one in four was having trouble bringing food and basic personal care products into their household, wouldn’t you find a way to help? Many products we use daily (such as toothpaste and soap) cannot be purchased with government assistance. Each week during Easter season, let’s bring one of these items for those friends we just don’t know by name. We’ll pass the items on to the Salvation Army food bank for distribution. May 12 Diapers, especially sizes 4 & 5
If you would have time to drop off our collection one of these weeks at the Salvation Army, a few blocks away from St. Stephen’s, please let Sandy Bush or Rev. Mary know. They are open to receive our contributions T-F from 9 am — 4 pm. Let not the needy, O Lord, be forgotten; nor the hope of the poor be taken away.
