The vestry has set the date for our 8th annual Spring Cleaning Tag Sale: Friday April 26 and Saturday April 27. So mark your calendars and start looking through your attic and garage (and ask your friends!) for gently used items you no longer need. As in the past few years, the funds we raise through this all-church event will be earmarked for the Salvation Army summer food pantry, providing soup, cereal, and peanut butter for kids who normally get free lunches and breakfasts at school. The more items we have to sell, the more we can make for the kids. We can use furniture, clothes, kids’ stuff, jewelry, toys, books—whatever. Anything you’d normally take to Goodwill can go to the sale. Plus, we can use your help with publicity, planning, setting up, and staffing the sale. Contact Anne Buchanan, Linda Airhart, or the church office if you want to bring in items or—better still—if you’re just dying to help with the sale! Right now we’re recruiting help with sign making, sorting items, and organization. We could also use volunteers with muscles and/or large vehicles who would be willing to help pick up larger items if necessary and bring them in.
